Rob's Story
Life
Well here I am filling out this silly bio, I guess I kind of got caught up with all the hoopla of this site. Life has had some wild twists and turns, but all in all it has been wonderful so far. I am living in Springfield, IL with my wife, of 18 years, and my three wonderful daughters. I am still very active in athletics, I play softball three nights a week and have had the opportunity to play in several state and national tournaments over the past couple of years. With three teenage daughters, life moves pretty quick. My daughters are, Allyson, 16, Brooke, 15, and Chelsea, 12. They are awesome. Well for more, you will just have to move to the next category.
School
Wow! How do I sum up school. High school was the tail of three. I statrted my career at good ole Calyton High School. This was probably one of the worst experiences of my life, but it made me a better person. Acedemically, as well as mentally. I left Missouri and headed west the summer of my Senior year and went to Grand Junction, Colorado where I attended Central High school for one semester. This was one of the greatest moves in my life. It really helped me become the person and personality I am today. The second semester of my senior year was spent in Jackson, MO. We moved there between semesters and I jumped right in. Jackson was a lot of fun. I met a lot of great people and enjoyed my stay. I eventually moved back ...Expand for more
to the St. Louis area for college, but for that move to the next part.
College
I moved back to St. Louis and began my career at Missouri Baptist College. I went there to play baseball. My baseball career never really panned out, but I gained a wealth of knowledge and some life long friendships. It was while I was at MO Bap, I reconnected with my wife Jill. We got married in 1988 and I went to work. In 1993, while living in Springfield, IL, I went back to school and completed my AA at a local junior college. I graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a BS in Education. I will be done with my MA is Admistration and Supervision in May, 2007. I will then be done with my education.
Workplace
I have been working in the field of Special Education for the past 8 years. I have been teaching kids with emotional disorders in a self contained classroom. It has been the most rewarding job I have ever had. This year is my first year at my new job. I am working at Lanphier High School as a Special Education Teacher and I have the opportunity to impact the lives of hundreds of students a day. I must say it is incredible. I have been coaching girls softball for 6 years as a head coach. This year I am going to be the assistant coach of my new school. but next year I will take over as the head coach. I am really looking forward to working with a big program. I guess that really gets us caught up.
