Rob's Story

Life This is an update to what I wrote. I'm retired now and living an uncomplicated life, As I write this we are in a pandemic and life has forced us all to become more conscious of our surroundings. My daughter has given us a granddaughter named Layla and it has changed my life tremendously - for the better, but for now, the pandemic has kept her from coming over and making cookies with me. I must admit that I really enjoyed the 50th reunion we had. It was great to see so many friends again. It was hard also to see the friends who will no longer be with us but are still in our thoughts. So, back to the "Life Story". I still live in Utah. It's truly an amazing state with 5 National Parks. All of which you should visit once before you leave this earth. Come out and I'll be your personal guide. I'm still married to my lovely wife. I really am the luckier of the two in this relationship. She is a truly wonderful person who has really helped me put my life in order. I don't know what I would do without her. We have two children, a son, and a daughter and now a son-in-law. My son is working for the University of Utah Medical Center and my daughter is back in school getting her MBA/MHA - dual masters - sheez, what a chore, but good for her. rse working in a NICU up at the University of Utah, but decided she wanted to become an administrator, so she is on a new course. I've owned my own business now since 1990. It's a small Graphic Design Studio and we concentrate of creating wonderful ideas for clients in all aspects of the business. We pride ourselves on the creativity we can produce for clients - Logos, Annual reports, Packaging, Web sites, Illustrations, Sales collateral, Custom Vehicle Wraps (which are really fun). Over these years, I've learned to believe in Karma, both in business and life, thus I do a lot of "paying it forward". It all came together in 2014 as our company was named the 2014 Small Business of the Year by the Salt Lake Area Chamber of Commerce. Life has been very interesting and something I have learned not to take for granted. I live each day as a gift to be cherished and not passed over. I have made some great friends in life and I cherish each and every one of these people. I have learned that the depth of ones being is the amount they have to give, so I try and give a lot. Sometimes this works, sometimes it doesn't. But hey, we must all have hope for the future. It's up to all of us to make it succeed. We must all do our part and look forward, not look back.
