Rob's Story
Life
Well, where do I begin..... After graduation I went to Columbus to spend an exciting 5 years at OSU. There I was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon and changed my major no less than 4 times. During that 5 years, I spent many weekends "socializing" with many of you fellow grads. I finally graduated with a degree in Communications which only meant that I could communicate. I decided to use this new found skill in the field of sales. Specifically technology sales. I went to work for a Columbus based technology integrater selling the latest & greatest technology. After about 3 years, I was recruited to work for NEC Corporation which was a huge Japaneese technology manufacturer. I eventually became a district sales manager over healthcare solutions. Again after about 3 years, I was recruited to do the same thing at Toshiba. Yet another Japaneese firm. If nothing else, I do like sushi now! I then...Expand for more
went to work for.... A Dutch company. I currently work for that Dutch company which is Philips Medical Systems as a healthcare sales director. I sell information technology products to large hospitals in the Ohio region. Along the way I married a girl who had season Ohio State football tickets next to me. I felt that anyone who can put up with me and my friends for an entire 8 home game season is a keeper. We have two children (one of each flavor) who are almost 3 and almost 6. I still play soccer although is has gotten painful since I tore out the ACL in my right knee AGAIN last summer. I coach my son's soccer team so that keeps me around the game. When I am not traveling, I like to go boating, ATV trail riding, woodworking and the honey do list. I always enjoy getting together with old classmates for drinks and recently did so with Joe Smith. (Who I found out lives less than 2 miles from me)
