Robbin's Story
I have lived in many places since high school. I married a military man and we moved every 18 months for 20 years. I have lived in Southern California, New Mexico, South Carolina, North Carolina, Azores (which are islands in the middles of the Alantic Ocean and a part of Portugal. My oldest son went to 19 different schools before he graduated. We saw some beautiful places. Every places has some beauty to share if one just looks for it.
The one person from my past whoI'd most like to see again is my husband, because we had so much more to share. God took him home before we were ready to let go. The only thing good from this is that is he no longer suffers from his illness and he is in a good place at home with God.
I have learned from my sons that they are very strong and good providers for their families. They are wonderful fathers. I also know that if I need them all I have to do is ask and they will be there.
If I won $100 million, I'd give enough to my sons to pay their homes off...Expand for more
. I would set college funds for my grandchildren and add some extra for when they get married. I would set up a trust fund for my sons to have when they retire. I would give the rest to HOSPICE because they provide a wonderful service to people in need whether they have money or not.
I am happy where I am at except one thing, I would still be working. I am happy living my children and grandchildren and sharing their lives.
My current age is 55. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be boring and act so old. Boy, I was so completely wrong. I feel this age is better than being 12 in today's world.
I won a national award from the Federal Aviation Administration for Secretary of the Year in 1999. In 2003, I won an award from the U.S. Forest Service for a book I wrote for Civil Rights and ways to handle things on our forest. The book also cover major points of interest on each forest and helped new employees become more knowledgable about National Forest in North Carolina.
