Robert's Story
Long story short is that I became an electronic engineer and worked for Intel designing memory. Married for 32 years with four children. I left Intel in 2006 for family emergency when an accident took me out of action for a couple years. So I began teaching at ITT around KC, and in 2 years took the chair position at the Overland Park campus which had just been built 3 minutes from my house. /cheer
It turned out teaching was what I should have been doing all along. Who knows. I was good at engineering because of the raw mathematics and physics, but teaching's the first thing I felt graceful doing.
Unfortunately the aforementioned accident took my left leg after 2 years as chair. ...Expand for more
The last collateral damage. And there was a coincidental need to downsize at the same time! So, I'm gone from there.
Not to worry though. Intel gave us what we need and I'm very happy living (alone again for the first time) with my lovely wife, Stacey. We're in Overland Park now. Seems like a lot of us 77'ers are.
If you want to know more, you can view my Linkedin profile at (oh they won't let me post it). So google Robert Anderson Intel High Speed and there I'll be. You'll even get to see my remarkably average face. A bonus !
I hope all of you are living happy lives and enjoying (at least) the middle class we all learned about.
But don't get me started !
