Robert's Story
Life
I got married in September 76. Our first daughter was born in November of 77. After 4 years in the Navy, and two Mediterranean tours, we moved to Cape Coral, Florida in 1980. My Second Daughter was born in March 82. I worked for a TV repair shop which I purchased in 92 and closed 2001. My eldest daughter married and had a son in 2000. Currently I Remanufacture, Install & Service MRI & CT Scanners. My youngest daughter just Graduated from Gulf Coast University class of 2005, Summa Cum Laude for Elementary Education.
It has been a while. Now it's 2012. Still married to Valerie Corlieto. We just built a new house on the water so I can have my boat on a lift in the back yard. Much easier than towing a 28' boat on a trailer. I recently installed a new GPS with radar on the boat. Our oldest daughter Renee, has a 12yo son Matthew. He enjoys fishing, Golf and Base Ball and is an avid Yankees fan. I just can't understand why she is a Cubs fan. Renee works at a local sports medicine clinic doing billing and coding. Our youngest daughter Danielle, has a 4yo Dominic. He just started T-Ball and is learning to swim. Danielle is a first grade teacher and is currently pregnant with twins due in June 2012. I still service CT and MRI scanners. I have branched out to X-Ray systems and a new whole body scanner for security used in jails and prisons. The company I work for was purchased by Canon USA. country. I have been to England to install a CT scanner on a ship. Last year I traveled to Canon headquarters in Japan for school. Canon Medical makes a digital radiographic plate. Our company manufactures Mobile, Portable and Standard X-Ray systems that use the Digital system.
Where does the time go? May 2016, The Grand children are Matthew 16, Dominic 8, Derik and Kirsten The Twins will be 3. I no longer repair MRI's or CT's. Now I Stage, Configure, Package and Schedule the install of our medical X-Ray equipment. Sometimes I also install the equipment. I also schedule the installs of the full body scanners used in jails and prisons. I have installed several as well around the country. I may live in Cape Coral, but my second home is a hotel in Boca Raton. I drive across the state every Monday and back on Friday.
In January 2020 we were transferred from Canon USA to Canon Medical Systems USA. I continue to do the same work and travel.
Where have the years gone? The oldest Grandson is 21 and the 2 youngest are will be 10 in a couple months. Dominic the 13 yo is into baseball like his cousin Matthew. Kirsten is into dance and gymnastics. Derik is into Dinosaurs and Pokémon.
After 19 years Canon let me go as part of a cost reduction. Things they said they would do didn't happen. Like training and a little different position. I'm not quite ready to retire. I landed a job with another company installing medical equipment around the country.
