Robert's Story

ed Susan Goodale and went to Travis AFB, CA as a C-141 pilot. After 2.5 years we were transfered to Norton AFB, CA (San Bernardino) initially as a C-141 Instructor Pilot. I did a lot of other things on the squadron level and moved up Wing as a Flying Safety Officer. After four great years we transfered to Yokota AB, Japan. Here I worked as a Command Post Duty Officer and Supervisor of Flying. This was not a voluntary move. I hated this assignment and after two years I got out of it by getting hired as the host base Wing Chief of Safety.
