Robert's Story
After high school attended the U of Minnesota to be a music teacher. Four years latter I realized that this was not the vocation for me. However, the training allowed me to enlist in the 451st Army Reserve Band where I maintained my enlistment for 25 years playing tuba, trombone, string bass, and fanfare brass. Volunteered to direct a Drum & Bugle Corps and helped them reach VFW State champions and many 1st places in parade and field competitions in their class. Music is still a part of my life but not as I was originally lead to believe.
At age 26, I married and we bought a 68 acre farm West of Annandale MN and raised two daughtes and a son. I decided that supply chain management was the vocation for me and while working full time, farming, and continuing in the military I attended night school at Metro Sta...Expand for more
te U, St. Paul, MN and abtained a degree in Business Management. I continued my education and obtained a CPIM certification from APICS and a C.P.M certification from The Institute of Supply Management. I worked in several companies moving up the ladder to a management position.
After 23 years of Marrige we divorced and I moved to Northfield, MN. My son, Jeff, purchased the farm from his mother. He has given me four grandchildren, Daughter Stacy has two and Jessica has two for a total of eight grandchildren.
After seven years of being single I met Deb and we married on June of 2000. Deb had two boys from a previous marrage. Unfortunatly we lost her youngest to cancer when he was 21.
I am now retired and look forward to using my time enjoy what time I have left and to catch up on my classmates and friends.
