Robert's Story
Life
I write for professional and Internet journals,Blogs,family websites and stay busy planning trips around the United States. My Grand kids give me a Great Deal of Pleasure and intertainment.We Do a lot of Trailer camping with them to the Beach and Sierra Nevadas.I moved from Piedmont to Palm Springs CA. for my 9th & 10th grades then to Redlands Ca. where I graduated from Redlands High School in 1954. Married Jerri Lee Hunt 47 years ago (SBHS_52)and we have two boys Robert& Rick six Wonderful Grandchildren. I Graduated from CalPoly,Pomona in 1960 with a BS Degree and recieved a Masters from Cal State Long Beach in 1967.Enjoyed thirty three years in education of which 10 years were in Elementary ,20 years as a High School Principal and District Office Administrator. Retired Early from ABC Unified School District in Cerritos Calif. My wife and I live in Long Beach CA.and have a vacation home in Mammoth Lakes Ca. we work on Mammoth Mountain in the ski/lodge host program a couple of weeks each month during the Winter.Enjoy going to Hawaii every other Summer. We also travel around in our trailer to Palm Springs,Beach and National points of interest a couple of months a year. I have made Many contributions to studentds,educational programs,and instructional staffs with whom I have worked over my 33 years in education. I am only as good as those people I work with AND I am pretty Damn Good. My co-workers g=have made me strong,creative,energetic,innovative and Dynamic in all areas of my educational experiences. The students I have served have become symbionic dynamos that have kept me young and forward thinking. "I own my tomorrows because I I learned from my Todays". As a dreamer I have had the pleasure of imagining what we can become and as a elementary and high school principal I have turned dreams into Realities with the support of work communities. We (Whitney High School,Cerritos Calif) becoame the one of the Top Ten High Schools in the United States because Someone had to be the Best for our Country and and our children's futures.
