Robert's Story

Graduated from the University of Tennessee with a BS Degree in Civil Engineering. Married in Detroit, Michigan to Bette Jane Childress. Joined the US Air Force. Served 4 years during the Vietnam War as a Titan II Missile Launch Crew member in Wichita, Kansas. Had two children. Wife Bette Jane died in auto crash in Knoxville Tennessee in 1975. ne Engineers in Knoxville until moving to Dunedin, Florida in 1985. Married second time in Baltimore, MD. Had two more children. All 4 grown with three married. One grandson and another grandchild on the way. Retired from the City of Dunedin, Florida as the City Engineer and Director of Public Works and Utilities in 2003 and started Brotherton Engineering, Inc.
