Crammed as many classes as I could into the day at BV. Early morning orchestra, after school tennis, track and cross-country. Had a handful of really good friends while there! Richard Armentrout, Richard Clack, Mike Montaldo, Susan Christian, Lynn Stotenburg, Danny Brown. My social circle was more at church. Enlisted in the Coast Guard at the end of summer after graduation. Spent one year in New York for electronics school, then two "terribly rough" years in Hawaii :-), then my last year at a lifeboat station in Oregon. Some great experiences, but came close to drowning in Oregon while scuba diving a wreck for bodies. Went to G.M. Institute, got my BS degree, then worked for them for three years. Didn't like pushing pencils and being a bean counter, so got into being an electrician for the next 27 years. Also worked as a machinist while in college. After college moved back to California from Kansas. Stayed there until 2007, then moved back here to the KC, MO area to watch over my dad. Retired due to serious job injury in 2000.
