Robert Busch:  

Life After completing my Bachelors and Masters degrees at NYU, I taught intermediate science and Regents Earth Science at Russell Sage JHS in Forest Hills from 1968-2002. During that period of time, I was also the music director of the drama club productions. Since retirement, I worked one year as a part-time science staff developer in NYC School District 28. The following 3 years, I was the chorus director at PS 117Q. I was the musical director of the school show at Francis Lewis High School in Queens for 5 years until 2009. I have also directed music for shows at PS 117Q through 2011. I am also a volunteer member of 3 biomedical research committees at Weill Cornell Medical College. Some of my proudest achievements there include working on concussion protocols for the NY Giants, having a say in the video education class that every staff member at WCM and NY Presbyterian had to pass in order to handle possibly-infected COVID-19 tissue and also voting on the Phase III Moderna Covid-19 vaccine trial. Somehow, in the middle of all this I managed to be the master scheduler and "lifetime" member of the board of directors of East Meadow Baseball/Softball Association. I have been married for 53 great years. My wife, Ellen, retired in 2011 from her job as a teacher at PS55Q. We have 3 sons who are all involved in musical and entertainment careers.
