Robert's Story

I joined the United Staes Army as soon as I graduated. Took basic at Fort Dix, N.J. also took my "AIT" {Advanced Infantry Training} at Fort Dix. From there overseas for the next 2 1/2 years before I came back to Cranston. I have over 28 years of military service.....Expand for more
.higest rank held was that of Captain, Infantry. I did use the GI Bill to go to college, Graduated from the University of Connecticut and went on to teach school both public school and college. Married with 5 children and a cat. Bob F. Butler Class of "53"
