Robert's Story
Roberto lives in Rimrock, AZ. He graduated from GARFIELD Summer 1960. Has obtained a BA in French, and a Masters in Teaching at California State University at LA.; another Masters in Education and a Doctorate ED.D in Education (and Anthropology) at Harvard University, Graduate School of Education. Roberto also attended La Sorbonne University in Paris, France. professor), Northern Arizona University (now retired as a Professor Emeritus). His Research and numerous publications include Bilingual and Multicultural Education, Linguistics in School Settings, focusing on Hispanic and Native American Schools. His artistic/creative interests include having founded and directed the NAU Mariachi Band. He was lead singer and guitarrón player. He plays the conga drums, guitar, vihuela, flutes. He holds a Black in Nippon Kenpo Karate (Founding member of East LA Dojo).
