Robert's Story
Life
After St. Matthias, graduated LaSalle Academy. Worked NYPD from 1964 x 1984 in Queens. Worked as a firefighter for the Veterans Hospital at Northport, NY. Married, 2 grown children. Left Glendale, lived in Kings Park LI and lived in North Carolina for 8 years and now live in Fayetteville, Pa. Did 35 years in the Army Reserve and later the NY Air National Guard. Military
Joined USAR in 1963 and went to Ft. Dix for Basic Training. Came back and served with the 497th Signal Co. in Washington St. Manhattan, then Co. D, 99th Signal Bn. at Fort Tilden, Queens. Then joined 106th Aerospace Rescue and Recovery Unit, NY Air National Guard at Westhampton Beach, LI as a firefighter. Had a total career of 35 years and loved it.
