Robert's Story

It will be hard to recognize me from my High School days. Back then, I actually grew hair, had no beard and probably weighed between 260 and 290 pounds. I slimmed down in college and still sta in in pretty good shape today. When the class of 1983 voted on the Senior Superlatives, I was nominated as the Shyest and Most Artistic. The fella who won Most Artistic said he voted for me! Nice guy. I guess I never did stop being creative. After HPHS, I went out and got some more education. I got a scholarship to BU, but dropped out after a month. My father was very upset. One year later, I got another scholarship to U-Mass(I didn't tell them about BU!). I started taking liberal arts courses and ended up studying theater. Graduated in 1989. Moved to NYC, then back to Boston, then to LA, then back to Boston. In 1993, I...Expand for more
got accepted to the Yale School of Drama for their playwrighting program. After getting the MFA from Yale, I moved around a bit before finally settling in Los Angeles. I've written some plays and screenplays over the years. Won a few awards and had some little productions, but sadly, no million dollar spec sales. I've lived in Los Angeles for over eight years now. I have a day job with Los Angeles County. I'm a secretary to a big bureaucrat. Lately, I have the acting bug and have been performing in short films and making some of my own. Never got married or had children. That's my only big regret. Still could marry, I suppose. Though I'm getting a little old for fatherhood. I wish the very best to all the folks I went to school with. I would enjoy a 25th high school reunion. If it happens, I'll see you there.
