Retired from BIC since 2003. Previous to that I worked at Armstrong Rubber (now out of business). I was a Technical Supervisor for the electricians on an off shift. Previous to that I worked as a technician at a company (now long gone) Electronic Futures Inc. in North Haven. The pay was so bad I could hardly afford the rent $75 a month. I doubled my income easily when I went to Armstrong. So, when the opportunity came up at BIC Corp in Milford I moved on and was happy to work in a high speed automation company. Since BIC closed the writing instrument division I've been doing different work on occasion. But, always liked Electrical design. Things have changed over the years and I don't care to work full time and only when I want to. I haven't really tried to find work. I wait for it to find me. I worked in a company in North Haven, CT that made pump systems for industry. I've worked in engineering in one place that made a computer to measure the blood profile of animals for veterinarians. It's wonderful being retired. I don't have to work but, when I do it's interesting to see all these different companies and how they make a product.. Some of my experience from previous companies helps with these jobs.
in 2010 I got my motorcycle license endorsement and bought a 400cc motor-scooter. I just want something to tour around on. I really don't want a large motorcycle the scooter is just fine. I lost this scooter from an accident with a car that pulled out in front of me. No serious injuries thankfully. But, after a year I bought a 650cc scooter and have traveled around the shore here in West Haven. I don't know how long I will do this but, I'm having fun for the time being.

Another trip to Nova Scotia in Sept 2013. Visiting with relatives of my wife. It's pretty country there. It reminds me of Cape Cod. We traveled to Halifax one day and Yarmouth another. But, I prefer the quiet life of Church Point. It's quaint and slower moving than this part of the states. The highways are not crowded at all. Reminding me of the New Haven area about 50 years ago.
Update: I've returned to doing videos. I have worked with a video editing program called Sony Vegas Pro 15. I record a play at a local school every year. It pays for the equipment and more toys. I have fun with the editing. My problem is too many toys and I have to clean out some of them. I still want to do a little more traveling. Photography is still my first love and use my Canon 70D to capture the family and scenery on trips. I don't want to travel over seas. I'd like to see more of the good ol' USA and Canada.
Additional Info: I'm still doing video projects. This past year (2018) I did my grandson's wedding video. It was difficult doing it because I had to be in it also. So, I volunteered my grandson to do one camcorder and my older daughter and her husband to do the other two camcorders. Digital recorders filled the audio part of the groom and his wife and the podium. Then the editing process was fun mixing all the tracks together. I had fun. But, I won't do a wedding again. It's too hard running around with all that equipment. Unless, another grand kid wants it.. Then, I'll hafta volunteer another grand kid or 2.
Still riding the Burgman 650 scooter along the shore in West Haven. Still deciding when to stop doing it.
Jan 2019- It's cold out there and we're camping in for now. Wishing for warmer weather and then, we'll wish for cooler weather. Can't win in Connecticut.
