Life My Spouse First date with Janice Latham Eley was one year to the day before we were married. We were both working on the National Education Association's Bargaining Election Team, and made our first date for the week after NEA won the election. Come December 18, 2012, our love affair will be 41 years old! My Pets My main buds are Jasper, my minature dauchund and Bogie, my doberman. All animals on the home place are friendly, actually, we are an anex to the Akron, Ohio ZOO!!! Update 2009--Jordan (doberman) and our stallion (Secretariat blood) are both gone now, but we continue to have a lot of pets and I look forward to getting a new doberman in the near future. My Kids Our daughter Gwynne graduated from The University of Akron as an elementary school teacher. Given today's job market, she currently subs and looking for a full-time position in our area.
