Robert's Story

Ocala Opening this summer (2011) Help clean up the water in Central Florida....Here we grow again!!! A very close friend and business aquaintence called and said: JUST DO IT! That was in 2010, Well, I didn't and now I look back and remember an old saying by another friend. He once told me that " There is more lost everyday from indecision than there ever was on a wrong decision. Well, I got lucky, that same dear friend didn't give up on me. He knows I'm an eteral optimist. I have always said that I would go after Moby Dick in a rowboat and take the tarter sauce with me. That's optimistic. Remember, opportunities in life are never passed up, their only passed on. Someone will always pick up the ones we leave behind.. Bob Life HEY GANG!!!! Hope all is well in your world. I live in Clearwater,Florida and all is well in paradise. I got married in the summer of 05 to a wonderful West Virginia girl. Can you believe that me of all people would marry the preacher's daughter? Talk about get lucky. She probably saved my life. For the past 30 years I have owned or managed small businesses. 25 in water purification( Still do some consulting. If you have questions about your water, please let me know. I can ship equipment anywhere in the world. and 5 years as a night club owner.(Never again) Between the stress of the bottom line and the hours it takes to make things happen it is good to be semi-retired. I will probably never fully re-tire. I am not the type to just sit around. That must be the sagitarius in me. We enjoy a great life living on Clearwater Beach. We always pray " no hurricanes" As we say LIFE'S A BEACH" HOPE TO HEAR FROM EVERYONE SOON. YOUR ALWAYS WELCOME TO VISIT PARADISE. College College: I attended Honky Tonk University in Texas, colorado, missouri and Arizona. I was taught to two-step and an occasional waltz. The gift of gab came natural and my sense of humor has carried me a long way. I look back and think..What I used to do all night..Now takes me all night to do...The older we get the better we were..Women are God's gift..Ya gotta love em all!! (Believe me I tried).Life has been very good...Other than a few marriages, I doubt if I would change a thing even if I could. Workplace In 1976 and fresh out of the Army, I needed a job..In those day's I lived in Amarillo, Texas and was married to a West Texas girl..strong willed and somewhat hard headed. but did give me my son Matt.. Some of the greatest days of my life were spent in Amarillo and it will always be close to me. I answered a silly ad in the paper to sell water softeners. Little did I know that it would become a huge part of my life and who I am today. I had never been in sales nor had any of my family. I learned to work hard. I grew into a sales managers position, General Manager and later in life owned a small chain of water softening and purification companies in Indiana I...Expand for more
sold them in 1988. and moved to Kansas City and opened a small nightclub.I remember in school for me to get up in front of people and give a speech would be very hard. Later in life, I have spoke to thousands of people about their water treatment needs. Now it is very easy to speak to large groups. We all grow.. I even sing Karaoke..(All 6 of my fans love it.Their on the ceiling and spinning rapidly the whole time I'm on stage)...I moved to Florida in 98 and and in 99 I opened Gulf Coast Pure Water.. I admit the beach has spoiled me..my web site is gulfcoastpurewater I speak for the Chamber and some schools and a few churches.. It keeps me young and out of trouble. People are real concerned about their water as they should be. Life has been good..The Lord has blessed me with good health, and a positive attitude. Military It all started in September of 72. I was laid off from the C&O railroad and bored. The recruiter said something about sunny Hawaii, palm trees, and girls running around on the beach in their underwear. Well sort of..Bikini's are very close to underwear..I learned to adapt. There was a war going on..I was assigned to fight the war of Waikiki on Friday and Saturday nights. I am proud to say there were no casualities. Unless you count hangovers. The Hawaiian girls are breath taking. The tourest were fun to play with and as for me as a GI, I did fine and loved my tour. I met my 1st wife in a club in Pearl City and she gave me a son who is now 32 and lives in Dallas. He is a very good person and has produced my only grandchild. A girl. She is now 6..In January of 76. Uncle Sam broke my heart and shipped me out of the Islands and to some God forsaken place called Ft. Hood Texas. needless to say 9 months later. The Army and I parted ways. It was 4 years of fun, heartache and excitement all rolled into one. I wouldn't have missed it for the world. I have been back to Hawaii since then 3 different times and overdue to return. Stateside, Florida especially where I live is pretty close. The west coast of Florida is full of white sandy beaches, palm trees. and some of the most incredible sunsets that you will ever see. The girls still run around in the same type of underwear but I can't seem to run fast enough to catch them. Thats probably a good thing. My new bride wouldn't understand. Women are funny that way. Sometimes people ask me what to spend their money on. I just tell them what I did. Some was spent on gamblin, a lot was spent on women ,some on good cabernet, 3 or four divorces, atleast as many horses, diamond rings and furs, swamp land in new jersey, oh yeah ,that week I spent out in LA .You know I hate to admit it , I threw the rest away.. >> Enjoy your life. Time and Money were mean't to be spent. You can't take either with you on that final trip. If you ever get down this way...Look me up..We can share a sunset...Take care...God Bless..
