Robert's Story
I retired from working County Club of Virginia, James River Course in 1989.. Retired from over-the-road truck driving with Abilene Motor Trucking 2020. Met my wife, a Norfolk girl, at Central Baptist Church in Richmond and married in 2003. In 2004, she took an US Army contractor position and we were stationed in Cairo, Egypt. My wife helped organize and open a US standards Egyptian Hospital called International Medical Center under a joint venture with President Mubarak and the US Government! It was an opportunity of a lifetime for her as a RN. I played golf almost everyday and ate wonderful food. Never had ice or drank the water though. Lol. Lear...Expand for more
ned so much about a foreign culture from living in the middle of Maadi, a community about one hour from IMC. In 2012, we moved from Williamsburg. Va to Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas. She works at Hospice Plus-Arlington as a hospice RN Case Manager. We down-sized to a tiny house in Weatherford, Texas and live across the field from 2 cows names Lucy, the brown one and Momma, the black one. They visit multiple times during the week and “moo” for treats. I have a 31 year old son, Matthew and four doggie-children named Lily, the Shiz Tsu, ChaCha, the Pomeranian, Charlie, a Silky, and Squeeky Sue, a Shiz Tsu/Chihuahua mix. Very happy and content with my life.
