Robert's Story
Graduated from TDHS in 1967 and in 1971 from UOP in Stockton, where I studied speech and journalism, as you might suspect if you remember me. Later earned Masters and Doctoral degrees and retired from teaching at the university level. Yes, I was a speech and debate coach for almost 40 years. cotton socks.... Many fond memories of Downey High. In addition to the speech and debate team, they involve classmates, the Modesto High victory bell, athletic teams, the school newspaper and yearbook, Mrs. Keller's junior English class, Greydon Milam, Senior Follies and, of course, the senior trip to Disneyland. We live about 1700 miles from Modesto now, but we get back to visit family every few years.
