Robert's Story

I graduated from Miami Palmetto in 1980. I went to Nova-Southeastern college of pharmacy and graduated as a pharmacist. I wasn't much of a student during high school, mostly skipping and going sking in my boat. After graduation I got married and had two kids. At that time I realized my responsiblities and got serious. I went though 6 years of college to be what I am today. I was married for 21 years before I realized it was no longer a good thing. My 2 boys were telling me to get out. Once they turned 18 and 20 I left. It hasn't been easy though. Having everything and then starting over is not an easy task. I know that I will survive and be the person I once was. I love the out doors, travel, hiking etc. I would like to meet someone with similar ideals. I have two boys ages 18 and 20 y.o. the 20 y.o. is in the army and my 18 y.o. is studying to be a minister. I miss and loved raising my kids. We were very close and still are. I miss them dearly because I only see them maybe once a year. I always wanted to be a Pharmacist when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a not college material idea. As it turns out, they were wrong. I really don't get stress with everyday matters like I use to. I guess that comes with age. If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have directions, help, and support to be able to deal with the day-to-day. My grandfather was my hero. He taught me to pay your bills on time. This worked until I went through my divorce where I gave her every thing just to get out. My step dad taught me hard work and drive The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is i dont remember, because can't remember her name. I enjoy watching football, sitcoms, I love labs and golden retrivers. I love the outdoors If I could improve my home, ...Expand for more
I'd remodel move and add on a move. My dream home would be be the one I built while still in Florida. My wife had to move to North Carolina.. I have learned many things from my boys. I learned happiness, hurtfulness, pain, proudness, love, gratitude and I know I was a great dad. If I won $100 million, I'd give 50% of it to charity, then spend the rest on house, car and savings. no My current age is 46. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be dead. I was so completely wrong. I worked very hard getting through 6 years of pharmacy school. It paid off. I am a very motivated and extremely hard worker. I love my job and helping others. My best friend would tell you I'm lucky, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as a very nice person. No I no longer wear the bellbottoms and silk shirts. I dress well now with a shirt and tie for work. I share my home with myself, which I find boring. No my trophies are long gone. In 10 years, I hope to be still working and in love again. I'm going to get there by working hard and hopefully meeting the right person.. My oldest friend is probably Joe Manning. He is a eye doctor who I met here in Knoxville, TN. At this point he is really my only friend in Knoxville. I have only been here for a short time. My first job was at Miami Childrens Hospital, where I got paid 10.00/hr to work as technician in pharmacy. What I remember most about it is This is where I new I wanted to be a pharmacist. I had a pretty good childhood. My stepdad was abusive but it taught me to never be that way with my kids and I never have been. It taught me how to treat a lady. I played sports during my childhood. Football and baseball were my favorite eventhough I boxed for a while but didn't like getting hit in the face to much
