Since Austin, I served a church mission in Brazil, attended BYU, worked in the private sector for 5 years, worked and then retired with 25 years in the CIA, residing in 5 countries, earned my Master’s degree— finishing it while in Iraq, have lived in 6 states, worked for 10 more years after the agency in both classified programs an...Expand for more
d private sector jobs until I finally retired (for good) in April of 2022.
I have 3 children and 3 grandkids, remarried 10 years ago, and “I never dreamed that one day I’d become a grumpy old man, but here I am killin’ it.”
(Oh, and I legally changed my last name back to the old, original German spelling of Hechler when I was 22.)
