I am a Father of three wonderful boys. My wife of 20 years found someone else and fell in love after 24 hours and left me in January '11. I dont know what thats all about but no more begging her to come home, I have moved on and I am trying to enjoy my life.
I love to work and enjoy my jobs. I have been a Paramedic since 1994. The adrenaline, lack of routine, chaos, disorder, and the chance to help people are exhilerating and fun. I have returned to a Local Government based service but I spent several years working in the remote environment aboard ships and floaters for the Deepwater Oil and Gas industry. I functioned as a Physician Extender and Safety Officer. The constant travel and constant training during my brief periods at home were becoming a stress on my family life and I had to give up those good paychecks and return to my roots on the ambulance which I stayed on with part time while playing at sea... (I also missed the chaotic days on board an ambulance.)
Life is full of mystery and change, I have been trying to learn to roll with the punches and look at the bright side of all that life throws at you. I have had my ups and downs but I now know what true happiness is for the first time in a long, long time.".
