Rob's Story

I went to high school at Oroville High,and then went to Butte College before Chico State. At Butte I had the good fortune of meeting people from Las Plumas, Biggs, Gridley, Durham, Chico,and Pleasant Valley HS's and many of those friendships lasted through the years. Hence my need to be on all those lists. I really enjoy hearing from everyone, so please write. I retired 10/01/08 from a 36 year career in the construction industry. Mostly Construction Land Surveying. Found my calling late in my career and completely enjoyed myself during a 5 year stint as a union Business Representative for Operating Engineers Local 3. Very demanding, very long hours, and very political. The politics were not my thing, but taking care of the career needs of working families made it all worthwhile. s, loved them both, truly believe in the institution of marriage. Single now. My second marriage brought me a daughter that I adore. You will see her pictures in my album. She is in her second year of college and plays guitar professionally. I still like motorcycles, fast cars, and racing karts. Some of you may remember my karting interest's started in 1960. 48 years of playing with little toy cars that go too fast. I do a lot of traveling now that I am retired and enjoy camping, hiking, fishing, motorcycles, the karts, music, and community volunteering. News Flash: 11/2008 New retirement project, as an artist/band manager for JL Stiles, Very talented singer, songwriter, master guitarist. Life is good! News Flash!! I have been diagnosed with cancer and started Chemo 5/11/09. So far so good. Keep me in your prayers.
