Robert's Story
I Graduated from Lamar H.S. in Houston in 1962, then Joined the U.S. Air Force. Served in Oklahoma and Colorado Springs (Ent AFB) and was Honorably discharged in 1965. Attended Kilgore College in 1965 and 1966 where I was announcer for the Kilgore Rangerettes. I was also in a Band, "The Lynx". We played all over Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana and Oklahoma. Mostly Teen events, College Frat Parties and some Clubs. We had two really good records. I then transferred to S. F. Austin State U. in Nacogdoches. The band broke up and I continued to work some in Houston and Overseas *(Far East) and then went back to SFA in 1970 to complete my studies where I graduated with my Bache...Expand for more
lors Degree in 1972. After Graduation, I worked in Houston. Got Married in 1975 and then went to Saudi Aramco in 1979. We lived and worked in Dhahran, the wife at MSO and me at RPD in the Engineering Building. Came back from Saudi in 1984 and moved to Austin. Worked in Austin until 1988, then back to Houston. Got a Divorce in Austin in 1985. Stayed single and worked in Venzuela for a while, then back to Houston in 1994. Got Married again in 1995 to my old girlfriend from when I was working in Houston after Kilgore College. We were married in Vegas. Still happily married and still working in Houston. I still crank up the old 12 String sometimes and the 6 string too.
