Deenie's Story

Little did I know as a brand new 2nd Lieutenant, that I would get deployed three times in the service of my country. I became a combat nurse in Saudi Arabia during Desert Storm, Kosovo and my final tour of duty in 2006-07 to Iraq. I served as the Officer in Charge of the trauma bays in a Combat Support Hospital. I've also been given the honor to be mentioned in James Patterson's new book called "ER Nurses" hitting the book shelves this fall. I am in awe that my story was even noticed.
