Robert's Story
Lets see, 3 weeks after graduation I reported to Great Lakes Ill. for Recruit Training, yep, I was in the US Navy. I served 3 yrs. on active duty as an Electrician aboard several vessels that supported the Sub Squadrons in Charleston SC and Groton CT. I have and will always will be Navy blue (GO Navy BEAT Army !) I was in the Naval Reserves following active duty; I was a Builder in the SEABEEs and just before everything broke out overseas I was a Navy Corpsman ("Doc" / Medic) in a US Marine Unit....OOHRAH !
In 1984 I was appointed as a Firefighter for the City of Nashua. I went into the "Family Biz" and have had a ball. Outside of what you see on TV, this career is the best. aining Ofcr and then Supt. of Training for the Dept. I have been a Staff Instructor at the NH Fire Academy since 1994. As you all know, life gives you opportunities and in August of 2006 I left Nashua Fire and went to Windham Fire. I am presently the Asst. Fire Chief for the Town of Windham. It was tough to leave the city, however, like they say, when 1 door closes another opens.
Hmmm, I was married in June 1984 and divorced in august 1997. I married Joanne and we had 2 children; Nicolas is 18 and Rachel is 16.
In December of 1997 I met Gina Gallagher. We were a couple from the git go. I knew right away she was "The One" right away, Gina however took a little longer to make her decision. We eloped in 1999 and had our BIG church ceremony in 2001. My bride and I live in Nashua and we have 1 son, Connor, who just turned 5 in Dec '06.
