Short Synopsis: I entered school at Simon Elementary, then went to Forest Heights when I moved to Sumner Lane. I took the usual tract to Tayac, then Forest Heights, then John Hanson. I changed to Oxon Hill Jr. when I moved to White Oak Drive, then on to Oxon Hill. I met my wife when I was in high school. Of course, she was in Fairfax Va, (and this was before the Wilson Bridge was built. After HS, I went to UMd for four years. After that, we were married. Oh, but the government had other plans. I was 1A and the draft was gaojng alphabetically at the "L"s. The Navy didn't look to bad. At least I could swim better than fly. The Navy proved to be the right coursde for me. Although I entered as a medical corpsman, I was trained as a Lab Technologist. In the time period between my basic training and corps school, my daughter was born.
