Robert's Story
Life
Graduated Northport in '72, and Entered Suffolk Community College with interests in music (Zappa & Beefheart), poetry and visual arts. Dropped out in '73, when my band was televised on the Jerry Lewis Telethon. The music career ended around the time of my father's passing in '76. d end loser jobs. At 40 I re-entered college determined to make painting a career, and finally graduated summa cun laude from Southampton College in 2002 with a BFA in painting. I am now a "classical realist" painter. I returned to graduate school fro an MFA at C. W. Post recently, because my final career goal is: professor of art. I can pursue my art while teaching: it keeps me in my field.
