Robert's Story
Well, it's been a long time since I thought of JBHS. Right after graduation I could not wait to get out of town. But lately, while visiting my mother who still lives in Burbank, I've come accross several reminders of my tumultuous high school years. Some of those reminders have brought a smile to my face and others have brought regrets and remorse. I was an inconsiderate, selfish "jerk" without a cause. Not that I have a cause now, but presently I am a more considerate man. Age will do that. I am self employed and have been for 27 years. I have a small company of about 16 people. We provide interpreting services for the Fed/State/County governments. I also manage my properties and affectionately refer to my rentals as "my second wife." Speaking of wife, I have one, the same one I married 26 years ago. Her her name is Trudy and she is the best thing that ever happened to me. I am also the proud father of a very bright 17 year-old daughter. She is junior at Mayfield Senior High School in Pasadena and currently searching for a university. During the winter I live in a 1903 Craftsman Bungalow in Monrovia and during the Summer I live up at our ranch near Bass Lake. I ride my motorcycles when ever the weather permits and collect California Paintings. Simple hobbies. Ok. Ciao.

Well, my daughter is going to Smith College in Northampton, MASS. I am still married. Recently I posted some of my photographs. I continue to do my gourds and mission furniture. I guess I enjoy making sawdust.
As far as projects: I am working on a small retaining wall made soley of granit...Expand for more
e stone and trusting gravity (no mortar). Other than that, it is the struggle for the legal tender.
Furthermore, I want to put an engine in my '67 Chevy truck. C'mon.
Talk to you soon.

Hello fellow JBHS grads:
Life is great!!!!! I just split 3 cords of eucalyptus for this upcoming winter. Did it in 4 hours, but I cheated. I just bought a 27 Ton log splitter. All my weeding has been done........I have brushed about 1/2 an acre near the pool area......now it is time to swim. The temp today was 102 F. I think I'll have Southern Comfort with grapefruit juice. I'll be floating in the deep end. Bye.

I just took my daughter to LAX. She needs to return to School. She will start her 2nd year at Smith. I won't get to see her again until Christmas vacation. I am doing much better this time around. Last year was tough, but I learned to adjust.
Now that Phoenix is gone, I will re-start the remodeling of our house. The guest bathroom is done, but I need to finish the laundry room and then commence the remodeling of the kitchen. The difficulty with remodeling is matching the architectural styles. We live in a 1903 Craftsman Bungalow and the cabinets we have chosen for the kitchen are Mission Style, but the appliances are modern, and I know they did not have Viking stovetops and ovens back in '03. Oh, well, I will make it work.
I hope all is well. Ciao...............
