Robert's Story
Left California in 1970. Have lived in the North East Kingdom of Vermont for 28 years, prior to that lived in the Syracuse area of NY. Married to Camille, a school teacher, for 51 years. Two Children, Keith and Andrea, KEITH passed away in November 2020 as the result of an accident, Andrea is single and living in Bozeman Montana, she is a ski instructor and property manager for a resort. I retired in 2008 and Camille retired in 2014. I graduated from LeMoyn College in Syracuse NY with a degree in Labor Relations; attended Albany Law in NY. Spent 14 years negotiating collective bargaining agreements in NY, as a management advocate , both in the public and private sector. volunteering with our local Library, local catholic School and other groups. During the warmer months my passion is Fly Fishing and shooting Sporting Clays. My winter passion is Alpine Skiing.
Camille left the classroom, 2014, after 37 years of teaching. We where both wondering what it' was going to be like retired and being together 24/7 and we found more things to do together and apart, we also found that we still like each other. In 2011 I got a new left knee, no more pain. With the final chapters taking place here in Vermont I can only say that the journey has been filled with challenges and a recent heartbreak which Camille and I are working through with the help of friends, counselors and our New York family. I still enjoy retirement and working on our property, we have 22 acres mostly trees with hiking and snow shoe trails.
