Robert's Story
Life
Married, two sons, Retired USAF, currently a Caseworker for State of Alaska/Health and Social services. Live in Wasilla, Alaska (about 50 road miles north of Anchorage, Alaska). Tachikawa AB, Japan: Was assigned to 609 MASS and lived in barracks 2300 second floor. worked on C-130's). I worked in the Air Freight building. My supervisor was SSgt Professor Powell. I drove a 1954 Chevy and made many trips to Shirahama beach near Shimoda. I also spent a considerable amount of time in the Stateside club out the main gate of Tachikawa. I also enjoyed fishing in the streams near Okutama. I still travel to Japan at least once each year. Many changes since 1969.
