Robert's Story
Life
Playing music! That's what I was doing in HS and have done since. Don Ellis Orch in late 70s, Bobby Caldwell in early 80's Started to move from trumpet to keys and vocals along the way. Top 40 and sessions etc. until the 90's. Served as Artistic Director for Group Dynamics Inc. (Santa Barbara Jazz Fest, OC Register Jazz & Blues, Oakleaf Fest etc.) for five years in the 90's. Got tired of the "biz" part of the music biz and went back to playing full time, focus on piano. Got married during this time (finally) and had a son, named for my dad, Joey. Bought a cute little spanish style home in Mar Vista, built a studio and put a 7ft. grand piano in it.

de lead vocal for the theme song of an up-coming TV reality show, keys and trumpet on a national TV spot for George Lopez Show, piano on an album project for Japanese pop singer Kaoru and co-producing and recording an upcoming CD for jazz pianist Jeff Gardner and his sister Cecily Gardner. Still performing lots of live gigs including Disneyland with the big band, "Swingtown" and regular casuals with so-bay ledgends "The John Brown Band". Solo and trio engagements include Manhattan Country Club and yacht charters for Electra Cruise, Pacific Avalon, Fantasea and others.
