Robert's Story
Currently living in Germany working for the government, after retiring from the US Army after 26 years. I have all boys living in differnt parts of the country that I am very happy. Notes for my friends:What life's little surprises, youth lost and wisdom gained over decades of labor. The constant look at oneâÂÂs life over time that passes to years is perplexing. Past friends, fated loves, and those that touched my mortal soul in some form or fashion have worth. I am a part of each of you; even, if just a historical interlude by destiny and you will not be forgotten.
It's not about loss in oneâÂÂs life or elapsed opportunities. My life is where it should be as I believe it is for all that went on the voyage. What is important is that the people that shared a portion of my life matter to me, whether it is a past love, friends...Expand for more
hip, or work relationship. We created something special in that period of our lives that was magic. You are correct in stating our decisions do not always turn out the way we thought by our personal azimuth which is our free choice. And Life is not always easy, work is not always entertaining, but the individuals I shared time with in my journey matter the most, and I am a better person for having them share in my life. I am grateful for them. My one regret is that I know in my heart, I missed some of the details in that journey by looking to far forward into the future. I wish I would have taken more time with them in slowing down the process to enjoy it as it was occurring. But everything is as it should be and for me the journey of discovery continues even more today, but I now look for the small details of wonder with each day.
