Robert's Story

This year I'm finishing my new cd "Because He Rolled The Rock Away" I always wanted to be a songwriter when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were right. Golf is my favorite sport and the one of the ways I still compete. The wildest thing I did in school was skinny dip with Elaine and her mom. If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have good music, good equipment, and GREAT PERSONALITY to be able to deal with the day-to-day. My only hero is Jesus Christ. Everyone else kneels to Him. I live in Tonganoxie, KS. My kids had the opportunity to grow up in a small town and go to a small school. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Ed Norris, because he was my dad.. My obsessions are music & golf. My favorite person is my wife Nancy. My biggest surprise in life was being diagnosed with cancer in 1988. It did not surprise me that God healed me. Being a father has taght me that most things are to important to be taken seriously. Mrs. Sawka was my favorite teacher in high school. She would probably grade my use of grammer in this story...C-. But I always liked it when her veins popped up, her voice raised, and with her red hair swimming in the wind, she would say "Life ain't fair and the world doesn't owe you a living" If I could improve my home, I'd remodel our bathrooms and add on a deck. My dream home would be on a lake.....Expand for more
If I won $100 million, I'd give 99 % of it to others, then spend the rest on my wife, my kids and my habits. My current age is 53. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be impotent. I was so completely sometimes right. Make enough money to pay my bills, help others, and leave some to my kids. My first crush became a lesbian, joined the armed services, and is now in politics in Kansas City, MO. My best friend would tell you I'm right, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as wrong.. The weirdest job I've had would be doing singing telegrams. It takes imagination, courage, and was fun. I share my home with a bird, which I find irritating. My son Kyle is a national champion in track. That would be my best trophy. I wasted too much time trying to make my first wife love me. I learned alot but I wouldn't do that the same. In 10 years, I hope to be 63. I'm going to get there by staying healthy, living morally, and making love to Nancy alot.. My oldest friend is George. He's 85 this year. We do coffee often. We clicked because I'm smart enought to know that old guys can teach me alot. Just about everything about me would surprise most at my high school reunion. I was adopted, actually bought, before I was two. That'll leave a mark! My first job was at construction, where I got paid $3 per hr to work my *&^ off. What I remember most about it is it was hard.
