Robert's Story
Been a long time, 43 years, since I graduated. Went to Brooklyn College, but the city went broke so I split after 2 years. Went to a school that's gone now up in NH, Nathaniel Hawthorne College Antrim NH if anyone else knows it. Managed to catch a term in England Junior year, Fall 1977, New England College at Arundel. Loved it over there but boy was it expensive once you got off campus. Graduated in NH in 1979 and went to what is now Thomas Jefferson Law School in San Diego California. Name then was Western State University College of Law: we called it Wah's Zoo. Graduated that in 1982 and came home to Brooklyn. Got a job at Chemical Bank in HR and Intern...Expand for more
ational. Lasted about 9 years until the fallout of October 1987 crash caught up with me and saw my job outsourced in 1990. Took some tests, looked around and settled on teaching in Jr. High, my old school, and have been there ever since. Got married in 1983 along the way, and am looking forward to out 30th anniversary in July. Wife and I have 3 boys, youngest 14, oldest 23. Life in Staten Island is slow, or was when I moved here in 1981. Now with 500,000 people lifes gotten a bit crowded. Now we're both retired. With the taxes here in NYC, not to mention the tolls, it's time to leave. Got ourselves a place in NC and we'll be there for good by year's end.
