Robert's Story
Hello fellow '59 Grads. Here's my story (and I'm sticking to it :-)).
After Graduation, I spent the Summer traveling North to visit friends and family in Tennessee, Indiana and Michigan. Inlisted in the Army in September, '59 and spent 3 years with Uncle Sam in such places as Ft. Jackson, SC; Ft. Sill, Okla.; Ft. Benning, Ga. and Nuremburg, Germany. Discharged Sept. '62, engaged November, '62, Married December. '62 to (yes, it really happens) my High School Sweetheart - the former Miss Marian Ellen Potts and after 47 years, still going strong!! dren, Two Daughters - One is an Air Traffic Controller, the other is an RN - Manager; One Son who is an Attouney with the Office of General Council at Rutgers University, New Jersey. We have 8 Grandchildren. The Oldest is 15 and the youngest just turned one in April. After raising our children and completing our careers in New Jersey, we move back to Florida and now live in Oak Run (a 55+ Adult Community) in Ocala. In addition to SPHS, I am also looking for fellow classmates who went to South Side and Lakeview Elementary (before it changed to Lakeview Christian).
