Robert's Story
Life has been a wonderful journey since Mount View High. I joined CIBC in 1965, and had a 37 year career that took me to a lot of places in Western Canada, and eventually I spent 11 years in Barbados, running a group of companies for the bank, and I retired as an executive with the bank. In recent years, I've sat on a national committee for CIBC's 11,000 retirees, and have enjoyed staying current with what's going on.
I'm married to Eileen (43 years) who is a wonderful golfer, and we've had an amazing journey through our married life.
Our two sons, Rob and John, are great friends and we enjoy both their wives and their children. We have twins in Calgary (Ethan and Emily...Expand for more

I've had a lot of fun on my bucket list since retiring, and have been to Nepal twice, been to base camp and climbed a couple of mountains, and this year climbed Kilimanjaro. I've run a few marathons in recent years, and have been lucky to do this with both my sons. Rob is also an Ironman so he's taken it to a whole new level. Our charity of choice is Juvenile Diabetes as the twins are type 1 diabetic. I'm lucky to have re-connected with Larry Barter here in Kelowna, and we get to see Lorna and Earle Anthony once a year (nee Lorna Bussey).
I fish a lot, and have fished in the World International Marlin Championships.
