Robert's Story
After high school, I attended Cal Poly for three years, was drafted in '66 and sent to Vietnam for '67. Following my military stint it took me several more years to finish my interrupted education. Then, in '77, while working as a structural engineer on the San Onofre power plants, I met the true love of my life and future mother of my two beautiful daughters. led Home for the past 39 years. During that time, we also spent six years in Mammoth Lakes (1991-96) where I worked as the Public Works Director/Town Engineer. I retired in 2005 from my 29-year, multi-agency public sector career. However, I continued working as a private consultant to local cities until 2009 when I permanently retired. Although I have been through some unforeseen twists and turns in my life (and who of us hasn't?), I wouldn't change any of it, because that is what has led me to where I am today, and I am very happy with that!
