Robert's Story

I've bounced around the country and careers. BS in Chemistry, followed by 4 years in the Army, then graduate school in Physiology at Michigan State, postdoctoral work at University of Cincinnati, took a research job with the USDA in Oklahoma. When funding dried up, I went to U of Michigan for an MS in Biostatistics, worked for Dow Corning in Midland, MI for 6 years and then took a job with Pharmacia in St Louis. ement, I jumped ship to work from home for a contract organizatin and consult on the side. The contract work was drying up, so I took a job with the Air Force at Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, OH supporting research related to protecting the health of service personnel. And now I am rstired.Met my wife at Georgetown, married in '72, we have four children (two boys, fraternal twin girls), three granddaughters and tow grandsons. Grandchildren are God's reward for letting your teenagers live.

Cross the Irish and the Germans and what do you get?  40 lbs of potatoes from about 30 seed potatoes.  My wife is quite the gardener, food and flowers.  Too bad I can't take a decent picture, though.
I'll get you and your little dog too, Hobby Lobby.
In the first game, the British have committed everything to the assault only to discover Mahdist cavalry and camelry in their rear.  As well as a fleet of boats coming down the Nile (not in the picture).
The manage to adjust, forming square and bringing up their cavalry while the Mahdists charge out of the fort to attack the forward units.  They held out long enough to win.
When you're suffering under an idiot who won't listen to your advice and he tells you there's no 'I' in team.......
Similar situation the second game, but they had a reserve.  British cavalry is dealing with the attack from the boats.  Note the units in the sunlight .  More on them later.
Further action.  The Egyptian reserve shot up the cavalry, but the camelry presses its atttack to support the amphibious assault.  The British cavalry died bravely, but the Mahdists broke through and were threatening the li
