I have worked as a Social Worker, Sales Rep., and Teacher
My teaching experience runs the gamut from Pre-school to University.
From 1986 to 1991 I taught Geography at Univ. of Vermont, Vermont Community College, and National Univ./San Diego, CA.
From 1992 to 2004 I taught English as a Second Language in Honolulu, Hawaii, except when volunteering in Central America.
Since 2001, I have been working with Mayan Indian children in Guatemala. Their needs are nearly overwhelming, but they bring great joy to my heart every day!
In 2002, two friends from Hawaii & myself formed The Tree of Life Foundation, a non-profit charitable corp. to better serve the children here in Guatemala where I now live. y the sweetest most loving children on earth! I feel very blessed and prviledged to be working with them!
I have a wonderful 32 yr.-old daughter Jennifer. She's married and lives in Utah. I'm still waiting for grandchildren, but I work with 300+ needy children in Guatemala, and they fill my life with so much love that I feel as if I have a huge wonderful family here. There's always a child who needs and wants my love everyday. And the love they shower me with brings great joy to my heart! I have discovered that Love & Service are inseparably connected, and are the keys to a happy life.
Update: I`m now married to a lovely Mayan Indian woman and heave 5 more children to love, besides my daughter Jennifer in Utah and the 300+ our foundation serves.
I try to visit family and friends in Hawaii, California, Nevada, Utah, Connecticut, New York and Quebec as often as time and money will permit. Last trip (2004)
I only had 2-days in Saratoga. Sorry if I missed you! Please drop me a line and maybe we can get together somewhere, sometime ?? The same goes for all my old college friends!!
Thanks to all of you for great memories!!!!!! I hope to hear from you soon!!
Aloha Y Mil Abrazos(1000 Hugs)
