Top: Fuel farm. We had a nuke reactor but it would shut down periodically so needed the diesel to run the generators. Bottom: No need for refrigeration, just put it outside.
Skua Bird in flight. Skua's would eat anything and everything. For sport we used to throw hot dogs into the air and the birds would catch in mid flight, sometimes two would catch at the same time and go to the ground and
Ice Tunnel at Byrd Station. I was told that it went no where. I walked the tunnel, I'd say about a quarter of a mile long to its dead end. At the dead end was a small shovel and a bucket.
From a 2009 case - - the court concluded the case and terminated me - - I suppose with extreme prejudice.
