Roberta's Story
I am Roberta Barker and I married in 1971 Richard Barker my high school sweetheart two years after he lost his legs in Nam. Before that I traveled cross the country to Tennessee. We were married in Reno, honeymooned in Bridgeport California in a tent. After one week he ended up in the VA hospital. I then spent the next three weeks commuting from Forestville to San Francisco. e boy. I was widowed in 2006 after almost 35 wonderful years together. I am now in my last class of my AA in accounting with a current GPA of 3.25, and start my BS in January. I am happy to say I am healthy and happy with my life. It is sad that I can remember few of my class mates except those I also attended church with (I was not a member of the popular crowd, and rather shy). I hope to get reacquainted with some of you.
