Roberta's Story

Life I have three children, a daughter who will be 16 in a few weeks and two 11 year old sons (yes twins). I have several pets, rats, cats, dogs and a horse. My daughter is working on her Gold Award in Girls Scouts. My boys want to be the youngest Boy Scouts to become Eagle Scouts. They have a lot of work to do in a short time. My husband is an Operating Engineer in NYC. He was recently transferred to a site in Bryant Park where his company is putting up a new building. He is an avid hunter and usually brings home two deer each hunting season. I spend my time taking care...Expand for more
of my kids, my house and my horse. I do a lot of running around taking the kids to CCD, Girl Scouts, and Boy Scouts. I guess you can say my horse is my hobby. I have to drive 20 minutes to take care of him. I’ll have him and his herd home in a few weeks (hopefully). It takes me roughly 2 – 3 hours daily to take care of him and his herd (my friends’ horses). One of my friends got hurt so I clean her two stalls along with my stall. Then grooming my horse and straightening up the barn and getting their feed ready. It’s a lot but worth it. I always leave the barn feeling good.
