Roberta's Story
I attended CSU, marching in the CSU Ram Band and majoring in Occupational Therapy. In 1983, I moved to Spokane, WA to take a job in neuro-rehabilitation. I met my husband, Bill, at a Catholic singles retreat, and we married in 1985. We have four great kids:
John, age 21, attending Gonzaga University, majoring in Electrical Engineering
Lauren, age 20, attending Washington State University, majoring in Pre-Vet
Lizzie, age 15, at Shadle Park High School, just learning how to drive
and Michael, age 13, at Assumption Catholic School, rock band drummer and Boy Scout
I have done some international traveling: to...Expand for more
England and France in 1985, to Japan in 1986, and to Norway in 2008.
My dad died of malignant melanoma in 1994 (too much golfing in the sun). My mom still lives in Ft. Collins and is in good health, so we get back to Colorado occasionally.
I currently work as an OT in long term care at Riverview Care Center. I have done some guest lecturing at Eastern Washington University for their OT/PT departments. I enjoy tracing our family history, gardening, walking, doing cross stitch, and spending time with the family. We have hosted 22 Japanese female college students from Mukogawa University over the years.
