Life My dad owned KBOR radio years ago, and I worked there as a DJ for several years until my first son was born in 1976. My now ex-husband and I moved to Victoria where I worked as a DJ for KVIC before I became interested in EMS. I have been a paramedic now for 25 yrs. I remarried 19 yrs. ago to one of my EMT students. My husband Ricky has been a paramedic for 15 yrs. I became a police officer in 1995 and since I did not want to leave EMS I worked as a reserve for Victoria P.D., Palacios P.D., Ganado P.D. and Surfside P.D. I was an investigator for both Palacios and Ganado. My son, Aaron was also a police officer and we enjoyed working together for Palacios and Ganado until he decided to fulfill his dream of going to art school. I am still certified but have not worked as an officer for the past six years due to injuries sustained in an ambulance accident.
