LIFE
CHILDHOOD:
-Born and raised in Manila, Phillipines (Malabon)
-Primary schooling at La Consolacion Ãollege in Caloocan City, Manila (1976-1982)
-Secondary schooling (Part 1) at Colegio de San Juan de Letran in Intramuros, Manila (1982-1984)
-Moved to the United States in 1984
-Secondary schooling (Part 2) at La Salle High School in Niagara Falls, NY
AFTER HIGH SCHOOL:
-Studied at University at Buffalo (Buffalo, NY). Originally majored in Accounting, but received a B.A. in Theatre/Dance (don't ask!!)
AFTER COLLEGE:
-Managed two retail stores in White Plains and NYC
-Worked as Cash Management Specialist for an Investment Banking Firm in NYC
-Has been workings as Director of Operations for a 190-year old non-profit organization
During the above periods, also:
-Performed for various Dance Companies in Buffalo and NYC
-Won the national title of "Mr. Dance of America 1993"
-Recipient of Special Scholarship at Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater
-Judged dance competitions for Dance Masters ...Expand for more
of America
-Performed throughout North America as well as Switzerland
-Choreographed for the University at Buffalo's Zodiaque Dance Co. and for Alpha Omega Theatrical Dance Company in NYC
-Taught master classes/workshops (Modern, Modern Jazz, Ballet, Stretching, Pilates)
-Worked with Marie-Christine Giordano Dance Company (founding member)
PRESENT:
-Working on an MPA (Masters in Public Administration), concentrating on Operations Management
-Freelancing as a dance performer, choreographer, and instructor. You can see my work in YouTube (search for my name and the word "dance")
-Currently the Executive/Artistic Director of BalaSole Dance Company, Inc.
OTHER INFO ABOUT ME:
-Spiritual
-Strongly believe in doing at least one good deed every day
-Has been living in Manhattan (New York, NY) since 1994
-Have travelled to Iceland, England, Ireland, France, Germany, Holland, Switzerland, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Philippines, Japan, Brazil, Costa Rica, Mexico, US and British Virgin Islands.
