John's Story
Hey, Yep I am still around, Nope I didnt graduate from the Creek, instead I quit and went into the Army and moved on from there. all these years have been awesome and I have been mostly Military or working for the Government in other ways. I am still married to Eva (Hogan) Roberts and I have been together for near 25 years. Most of you know her. We have an awesome family and fiends up here in Alabama. I love it here, It's paradise. We have four distinct seasons, Spring is about 3 months and everything becomes bright. Summer is not as bad as you may think with only a few real HOT days near 100, Fall is beautiful with all the leaves changing and the first frosty morning around Oct 31st, Winter is awesome, Clear cold nights, a little snow about 2 times a year with one that sticks for a day or two. a, Eva is a Firefighter/EMT so is My daughter Jennifer, lil John worked at Heard County as well, He was a Firefighter/Crash Rescue and Hazmat Technician before his death at 20 years old in a car crash last year, We all miss him so much and are forever proud of all he had done. And Jason our youngest is on his way to Army basic training in Sept then on to his advanced training to become an Army Firefighter. I have been Flying as a Flight medic with the National Guard in U.S.Army Blackhawk helicopters for near 2 years now, LOVE IT! I will be going back overseas for my second tour of duty in a few months, Was in Iraq in 2006 as an Infantry medic, Had some bad luck and got that Azz blown up by a roadside IED. spent 2 months in physical therapy before returning to duty. All in a days work I guess. Anyway still love doing the crazy stuff! Nothing has changed except Im a little older! Yall take care and give me a yell!
