Robin's Story
Life
My husband and I moved from Anchorage to Reno to operate The Canine Club, dog training, boarding and daycare. We lost our business last year after my husband ruptured his esophagus eating cereal. He lived, happily, but now we are part of the great unemployed and have filed for bankruptcy because we just don't have the half a Million $$ to pay his medical bills. We were deemed uninsurable due to pre existing conditions.
I lived in Phoenix about the first 23 years of my life, then I lived in Anchorage, Alaska for the next 25 years. Now, I live in my sister's yard in an RV. I don't know what will happen next.
Currently, my husband and I have 4 dogs, three of whom were rescues. We have 2 Golden Retrievers, 1 Pitbull and a McNabb, which is a sort of short haired Border Collie and definitely a Crazy Herding Dog.
School
East High was a painful experience for me. I was gawky, awkward and I had no self-esteem. Some things never change. Still, major things happened. I fell in love for the first time, got hurt, broke a heart, and got hit by a car. It wasn't all bad.
College
My college career spanned 22 years. I started as a Theatre Major at ASU in Tempe, AZ, and finished with a BA in Th...Expand for more

UAA, in Anchorage, AK. In between, I went to school, learned how to act and direct. I got married 3 times and divorced twice. I discovered I didn't want to pursue professional acting because I wanted to have a dog, in spite of people urging me to give it a try.
I'm much happier as a dog trainer than I would have been as an actor.
Some of my favorite characters I've played: Queen Margaret in Richard III; Billy Dawn in Born Yesterday; Bananas in House of Blue Leaves (which was selected to be performed at the American college Theater festival.
Workplace
September of 2004 I quit my job at the University of Alaska Anchorage Library, sold my house, and with my husband took our 4 dogs and 3 cats to Reno to buy a Dog Daycare and Training Facility. I love it, the dogs are fun and I love teaching basic dog obedience. It took a long time for me to do it, but it was worth it to me to follow my dreams.
I recommend, if you hate your job, leave it and follow your dreams.
If I won $100 million, I'd give lots of it to my family, then spend the rest on building my ideal dog day care, training and boarding facility, advertising for my dog day care, training and boarding facility and staff.
